Long Jump Sand Pit Specifications
We offer two standard size long jump sand pits & runways, one size for primary schools and one for senior clubs and schools.
Primary Club Specification
- Runway Material: Rubber shock absorbing layer with a red rubber crumb and red polyurethane wearing coat, over a layer of no-fines concrete on top of MOT type 1 crushed stone.
- Long Jump Runway: 45 mtr x 1.22 mtr
- Pit size: 7mtr x 300mm depth
- Pit width: 3 mtr upwards
- Pre cast concrete surround with rubber safety capping
- Geotextile fabric and washed white sand which will not stain or compact.
Senior Club/School Specification
- Runway Material: Rubber shock absorbing layer with a red rubber crumb and red polyurethane wearing coat, over a layer of no-fines concrete on top of MOT type 1 crushed stone.
- Long Jump Runway: 45 mtr x 1.22 mtr
- Pit size: 9 mtr x 400mm depth
- Pit width: 3 mtr upwards
- Pre cast concrete surround with rubber safety capping
- Geotextile fabric and washed white sand which will not stain or compact.
